South East Queensland
Swap the bag you stopped carrying.
Accessories are the easiest thing to swap. They fit a small compartment, they suit almost anyone, and sizing never comes into it.
What counts as an accessory
Up to $1,000 an item.
- Bags
- Totes, crossbodies, backpacks, weekenders. The one that suited your old commute and not this one.
- Belts
- Bought with an outfit, worn with nothing since.
- Scarves
- Silk, wool, the lot. Easy to post, easy to swap, and they take a small compartment.
- Sunglasses
- The pair you replaced rather than lost, which is rarer than it sounds.
Jewellery and watches are not accepted. The line is carried or worn goods in, worn ornament out, and it is enforced at listing rather than left to chance. The full list is here.
Why they match faster
Clothing has to fit. Accessories mostly do not, which means the pool of people who could want yours is far larger than it is for a size 10 dress.
They also take a small compartment, and small compartments are the ones there are plenty of. Bulky items wait for one of the few large doors to come free. A scarf never waits.
Where the locker is
One locker so far, at Carrara Markets on the Gold Coast, open Saturday and Sunday, 8am to 3pm with the markets.
Carrara is about an hour from Brisbane, so from the city it is a trip rather than a detour. More locations open as the network grows.
A completed swap is a flat $5. Here is the full process.
Start with the bag
